The Common Sense Show

jsoc

The title of this article is not hyperbole. Indeed, war has broken out in Ukraine. Both the United States and the Russians are employing asymmetrical warfare, at least for the time being, in an attempt to control the country.

Since1980 on the recommendation of Colonel Charlie Beckwith, in the aftermath of the failure of Operation Eagle Claw, the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) was established as a component command of the United States which answers to the Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The express mission is to conduct classified military operations in an among the various clandestine forces in the United States (e.g. Seals, Rangers and civilian mercenaries such as Blackwater now known as Academi).

List of JSOC Commanders

Most Americans have never heard of JSOC. However, the long list of JSOC commanders is impressive and notable. One name of their former commanders that jumps off the page is LTG Stanley McChrystal, the former commander of forces in Afghanistan, who was fired for comments which were critical of President Obama and his handling of the war.

Rank and Name                             Start and End of Term

MG Richard Scholtes                      December 1980  to  August 1984

MG Carl Stiner                                August 1984 to January 1987

MG Gary E. Luck                            January 1987 to December 1989

MG Wayne A. Downing                  December 1989 to August 1991

MG William F. Garrison                 August 1992 to  July 1994

MG Peter J. Schoomaker              July 1994 to August 1996

MG  Michael Canavan                   August 1996 to August 1998

LTG Bryan D. Brown                     September 1998 to December  2000

LTG Dell L. Dailey                        January 2001  to  March 2003

LTG Stanley McChrystal               September 2003June 2008

VADM William H. McRaven            June 2008 to  June 2011

LTG Joseph Votel                         June 2011  to  Present

The JSCO Mission Has Morphed

Originally, the JSCOC was created to ensure interoperability and equipment standardization, plan and conduct special operations exercises and training, develop joint special operations tactics and execute special operations missions worldwide. Essentially, JSOC was a commando operation.

The mission of JSOC has changed dramatically. The mission of JSOC is still asymmetrical, but the net effect is that JSCOC is capable of carrying combat operations on a national scale and this is what we are subsequently witnessing in Ukraine.

One day when the smoke clears from the ashes of World War III, historians will credit JSOC as the entity being responsible for the commencement of World War III in Ukraine as civilian mercenaries, acting under the authority of LTG Votel is instigating a civil war in Ukraine for the purposes of purging the country of pro-Russian forces.

Putin Plays the Victim Card

Putin has criticized the United States for using mercenaries to drive out pro-Russian forces from Ukraine.

The Russian Blackwater

Putin’s allegations of war mongering by U.S. forces has merit and are backed up the German newspaper Bild am Sonntag who recently reported  that 400 U.S. mercenaries are working with the (illegal) junta government in Ukraine to crush opposition to the Western coup in the eastern part of the country designed to turn Ukraine away from Russia by eliminating anti-coup activists in Slavyansk and the Donetsk region.

Putin’s allegations swirl around the presence of mercenaries affiliated with Academi. The readers may remember Academi when it was known as Blackwater and then it changed its name to Xe following its involvement in the murder of 17 Iraqis in Nisour Square, Baghdad, Iraq, in 2007.  This mercenary group keeps changing its name to stay one step ahead of the burning bridge and escape oversight from Congress.

Academi’s board of directors is very impressive as it includes former Attorney General John Ashcroft and former NSA director, Bobby Ray Inman. The company’s CEO is a retired Brigadier General, Craig Nixon.

Make no mistake about it, Academi’s presence in Ukraine is a JSOC operation. JSOC is being confronted by its Russian counterpart in Ukraine. The net effect is that we are seeing the beginning of World War III through the use of asymmetrical forces. At the moment, this may only be a proxy war, but it is escalating exponentially.

Putin Is a Hypocrite

Putin is accusing the United States of using mercenary soldiers in Ukraine as he is employing the exact same strategy. Three months ago,  Russian troops without insignia appeared in Crimea during the takeover. This is the Russian equivalent to JSOC as they belonged to the infamous Vnevedomstvenaya Okhrana. This organization is indeed the “Blackwater” contracted by the Russian interior ministry to protect Russian military facilities and related assets. This Russian version of Blackwater seized airports in the Russian invasion of Crimea. Just like JSCOC Vnevedomstvenaya Okhrana do not wear Russian military uniforms and their use gives Russia government plausible deniability. However, make no mistake about, this organization is carrying out operations in Ukraine as proxy members of the Russian military.

Russian Blackwater vs. American Blackwater

Which side can provoke the greatest war crimes by the other side? Which side can assassinate the central Ukrainian leaders on the other side? Which side can galvanize its Ukrainian sympathizers to pick up arms and begin killing the opposition?

The world witnessed these tactics in Kosovo and we are seeing it again. In the coming weeks we can expect to hear about the discovery of mass graves and a number of murders of key opposition leaders on both sides.

The strategy of the two sides is clear. Provoke sympathetic civilians to takeover Ukraine. The losing side will no doubt escalate its involvement in order to prevent the total loss of the country through the use of conventional military forces.

Time Is Not On Putin’s Side

putinWith NATO war games set to commence in Ukraine, Moldova, Bulgaria and Poland in late June/early July, Putin must move quickly to achieve victory. If Putin allows NATO to consolidate its forces in Ukraine, Russia would likely lose its foothold in the country.

At risk is Putin’s ability to blackmail Europe with gas, 66% of the total, which flows through Ukraine. Unless Putin is happy being the head of a regional power, and not a global power, he has a very short time left to act.

Putin has already announced that he will not hesitate to use nuclear weapons against  conventional forces which would come against Russia. During the next four to six weeks, event are going to become very heated.

At the end of the day, there can be doubt. World War III has broken out in Ukraine and the dominoes of escalating events are falling one by one.

Update: Syria: Russian and American Ships

I got more information about what I posted earlier here.

Apparently everyone is concerned about the actual CW in Syria.  The Russians provided this stuff according to our own intelligence groups.

The Russians want CONTROL of the situation to prevent US from seeing they provided it.

The US wants to collect it, remove it, and turn it over to an “International Group”.

The Russians want to collect it, remove it and HIDE the crap.

This is why so many ships are showing up, why Russia has so many landing ships.  This is why we’re ready to BOMB the crap, we want it gone – the Russians want it hidden from sight.  The Syrians want to use it.  The Russians want the Arabs to USE it on the Israelis.

This is a lot deeper and darker than most of us in the US knew or thought.

If we go in there, we need to do the job RIGHT and Obama isn’t the guy to do it, neither is Kerry the guy to diplomatically clean this up.  Hillary would have been better (I just threw up a little in my mouth….).

Either way this shit isn’t going to get cleaned up EASILY.

Brace yourselves – this will continue to escalate until the United States gets their hands on, or destroys the chemical weapons stocks, or the Russians remove it, hide it and convince the US it’s gone or didn’t exist.

I don’t care what some of you are saying about Russia having the “high moral ground”, “Putin is a Christian” or “Putin is a real leader”… The RUSSIANS ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED, PERIOD.

Check your bags, weapons and supplies.

Prepare.

Putin: Syria chem arms handover will work only if US calls off strike

Published time: September 10, 2013 17:00

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Syria’s chemical arms handover will only work if the US and its allies renounce the use of force against Damascus.

“Certainly, this is all reasonable, it will function and will work out, only if the US and those who support it on this issue pledge to renounce the use of force, because it is difficult to make any country – Syria or any other country in the world – to unilaterally disarm if there is military action against it under consideration,” President Putin said on Tuesday.

Putin said the disarmament of Syria’s chemical weapons had been extensively discussed by experts and politicians.

The Russian president said that he and President Barack Obama had “indeed discussed” such a possibility on the sidelines of the G20 summit in St. Petersburg last week.

It was agreed, Putin said, “to instruct Secretary of State [John Kerry] and Foreign Minister [Sergey Lavrov] to get in touch” and “try to move this idea forward.”

President Putin’s comments came shortly after the Syrian government said it would agree to place its chemical weapons arsenal under international control.

Despite voicing “some serious skepticism,” Western countries supported the move, stressing the importance of Assad fulfilling the agreement and surrendering the weapons stockpiles.

Britain said it would like Russia and Syria to show that the proposal to President Bashar Assad is “serious and genuine.”

In Washington, the White House echoed the UK statement, saying it wanted to verify that Syria was serious in its intentions.

Syria

It is looking like the Russians are going to come out on top of this conflict.

They are making a deal with Syria to give up their WMD.

America looks like a country full of idiots, run by a clown.

Russia looks strong, morally superior and Putin looks like a true leader now.

A possible nuclear war may has been averted.

Tonight Obama will go on television and “claim victory”.

Only in America.

China Backs Russia on Syria

China is backing Russia on Syria now…. predicted this one.

ST. PETERSBURG – Even as he makes his case on Syria to world leaders gathered at an international summit here, President Obama plans to call lawmakers back in Washington to urge them to vote to authorize a military strike in Syria.

Obama will be doing outreach to key lawmakers on Capitol Hill during his two-day visit to Russia for the Group of 20 summit, deputy national security adviser Benjamin J. Rhodes told reporters here Thursday. On Wednesday, during his visit to Sweden, Obama made five calls to a bipartisan group of senators as part of the administration-wide effort to lobby lawmakers on Syria, Rhodes said.

Putin Greets Obama with a direct threat

PUTIN GREETS OBAMA WITH SYRIA THREAT – President Obama arrived in Russia today to find the already failing relations with his host in even worse condition. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s threat to provide his Syrian allies with a missile shield in the event of U.S. airstrikes further complicates Obama’s flagging effort to win international support for an attack on Damascus. As the Guardian reports, Putin’s warning that an attack without UN backing would provoke military aid from Russia may drive away the handful of international partners for Obama’s proposed attack.

Obama lands in St. Petersberg

Air Force One had Wheels Down in St. Petersberg this morning for the G-20 summit.  I guess it’s on again.  Obama hasn’t got the balls to back up anything he says.  He’s vacillated on the “Red Line”, and now he’s blaming the world community, Congress and whomever else he can blame for setting that red line.  I guess backing out of meeting with Putin over Snowden is out too?

The “Lion’s Den” is right.  When Americans on the Right and the Left see Putin as a better leader than their own President, there is a damned serious problem in America.  A DAMNED serious problem.  Even this morning, Ralph Peters on Fox News said he didn’t like Putin, but he RESPECTED him as a tough and fair leader.  Amazing.

Putin called Kerry a liar.  Flat out, a liar.  Take that John F-ing Kerry.  All Kerry could do was sputter and say “That’s basically untrue…”.  What was untrue, Kerry?

I spent many years traveling with Reagan and Bush, Air Force One, Air Force Two, dropping in and out of countries before and after the “Boss” landed.  I did communications.  I really, really feel sorry for the WHCA guys these days traveling with this asshat.  I wish the military contingent well – assuming they are even traveling with the President these days.

Wag the Dog?

Is this entire Syrian issue with Chemical Weapons a cover up?

Seriously, Obama, almost a year ago stated what “the red line” was.

A year later – well in August it turns out that chemical weapons were used.  And they were used BEFORE that apparently and we did nothing.  Now we MUST do something?

What happened to the 27 or 30 scandals?  Oh, yeah, they aren’t in the news suddenly are they?

Benghazi is being ignored by the media. Deaths of Navy Seals, ignored.  The IRS scandal, ignored.  The NSA spying, ignored.  Project Gun walker and Fast and Furious, completely forgotten now… Obama has lied time and again to the American public.  Kerry has lied, over and over.  Hillary Clinton lied.  The IRS Director lied.  Eric Holder lied.

Or is this something worse, a method by which the asshole-in-chief manages to bring us to the brink of a nuclear war with Russia just so he and Putin can make nice-nice on the sidelines and “fix” the whole world, bring “peace in our time” or make himself appear to be larger than life?

What if this is all a giant hoax perpetrated by Obama and his puppet masters?

What if…..

US Involved in Hot War with Russia?

US is involved in ‘Hot War’ with Russia, fought by proxies

Edward Snowden is a ‘red herring’ and the ‘childish’ cancelation by Obama of a meeting with Putin in September is of little significance as the US president has little to offer Russia, William Engdahl a geopolitical analyst, told RT.

The real issues of missile defense, Syria and Iran will remain unresolved because of a policy pursued by Washington of full spectrum dominance, where the sole super power the US seeks to dictate military, economic and financial terms to the entire world, Engdahl added.

RT: The Russian deputy foreign minister didn’t have a particularly productive discussion with the US Secretary of State in Brussels. Are there any indications that the same talks that are happening today will be any different?

William Enghdal: I doubt it rather seriously. The decision by President Obama to cancel the meeting with Putin before the G20 meeting is really an indication of a lack of strategy on the part of Obama rather than the putting down of Russia. The background to that is the fact that there are not only fundamental differences between the two sides, the United States government in Washington has been trying since the end of the Cold War to dismantle Russia, quite simply, with missile defense, with the plundering of their economy through using the IMF and shock therapy in the ’90s.

Now that Obama is back in the presidency they are finding a far more difficult negotiating partner over questions like Syria, over issues like the missile defense and others. Snowden, I think is a red herring, simply an excuse that is very convenient to use at this point.

RT: You are saying that if a consensus is reached on some of the issues that will be discussed that might off set the brewing tension over Edward Snowden?

“We have our plans…” on Syria: Putin

‘We have our plans’: Vladimir Putin warns US against Syria military action

Russian president says it is too early to say what Russia will do but does not exclude supporting a UN resolution

Vladimir Putin has warned the US against launching military action in Syria, stating that Russia has “plans” on how it would react if such a scenario unfolded.

The Russian president’s comments came as Barack Obama for the first time portrayed his plans for US military action as part of a broader strategy to topple Bashar al-Assad, as the White House’s campaign to win over sceptics in Congress gained momentum.

In an interview with Associated Press and Russia’s state Channel 1 television, Putin said it was too early to talk about what Russia would do if the US attacked Syria but added: “We have our ideas about what we will do and how we will do it in case the situation develops toward the use of force or otherwise. We have our plans.”

At the same time he said Russia did not exclude supporting a UN resolution on punitive military strikes if it were proved that Damascus used poison gas on its own people. But he described the idea that Syrian government forces would use chemical weapons at a time when he said they were in the ascendancy and knowing the potential repercussions as absurd. Given his comments, and the fact that Russia has protected Syria from punitive action at the UN security council before, his suggestion that Russia might support a resolution on strikes is unlikely to be given much credence in the US.

Russia later dispatched a missile cruiser to the eastern Mediterranean, which will arrive in about 10 days. The ship, Moskva, will take over operations from a naval unit in the region that Moscow says is needed to protect national interests. It will be joined by a destroyer from Russia’s Baltic Fleet and a frigate from the Black Sea Fleet.

In the US, senators will begin a series of votes on Wednesday to authorise a 90-day window for US military action against Syria.

A new draft resolution was agreed by leaders of the Senate foreign relations committee after the secretary of state, John Kerry, pressed a forceful case for striking against the Assad regime. Earlier, Obama secured the backing of the Republican leadership at a key White House meeting.
