The Emirates and Egypt Attack Islamist Forces in Libya _ A Positive Step?

It was about the time that President Obama announced his red line in the sands of Syria that Asylum Watch did a piece promoting the idea that America should stop fighting the proxy wars in the Middle East at the behest of its “partners” in the region; i.e., Saudi Arabia, the Arab Emirates, the Gulf State, and etc. The argument was that the United States had been providing arms, aircraft, and training to the militaries of its “partners for decades and it was high time they took on the responsibility of resolving regional issues themselves. In other words, we should let Muslim nations solve the problems between Muslim nations.

Well, this past Saturday, Reuters report that unidentified aircraft had attacked positions of armed militia in Libya.
